Holidaypark Duinrell
- 50 minute drive from the port of Rotterdam
About Holidaypark Duinrell
Duinrell started out as a family amusement park not far from the ferry terminal in Rotterdam. It’s also home to the famous Tiki Bad (Tiki Pool), known throughout the Netherlands for its many waterslides. Over the years, holiday lodges and safari tents have been added around the park.
Nowadays, the park is very popular among British visitors. Duinrell also actively promotes the park in the UK, so you may have come across it before.
Why it’s a good choice for ferry travellers
When you arrive at the port of Rotterdam, Duinrell is practically around the corner, only about 32 miles away. The park is situated between the beach, the dunes, and the upmarket village of Wassenaar.
Wassenaar itself is an excellent base for short city trips, as it’s right in the middle of the Randstad region, where most of the Netherlands’ major cities are located. The Hague, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Leiden and Delft are all nearby and well worth visiting.
Duinrell offers the best of both worlds: nature and beach close by, plus easy access to the country’s most popular cities. Guests also get free entry to the amusement park and the Tiki Pool, so there’s always something to do.
