Pride of Hull

The Pride of Hull is a large cruise ferry operated by P&O Ferries on the Hull–Rotterdam (Europoort) route across the North Sea. It is one of the largest ferries ever built for operation under the British flag and serves as one of two sister ships, alongside the Pride of Rotterdam.

What to expect on board

The atmosphere on the Pride of Hull and her sister ship, the  Pride of Rotterdam, is relaxed, welcoming, and full of that classic ferry charm. While many modern ferries feature a clean, Scandinavian-style interior, the Pride of Hull feels more like a fun night out. That fits perfectly with the timing of the crossing, since you depart in the evening and sail mostly overnight.

Once you have settled into your cabin, treat yourself to a meal in one of several onboard restaurants, with both buffet and à la carte options to choose from. There is also tax-free shopping and a lively bar where you can relax with a drink while enjoying live entertainment. But that’s not all: you will also find a small cinema and even a casino on board.

Children are well catered for too, with a kids’ play area and a game hall to keep them entertained throughout the journey.

What to know before you go

  • There is very little difference between the Pride of Hull and her sister ship, the Pride of Rotterdam, so you do not need to consider this when making your booking.
  • Although it might seem beforehand that you could spend the entire night in the bar, the onboard facilities close at a reasonable hour.
  • You can also travel with a pet on board. This option is not clearly shown on the deck plan, but it is available. Check our pet travel page for more information on how it works.
  • Please note that passengers do not have access to the car deck during the crossing, so make sure you take everything you need for the night with you.
