Bring your bike on the ferry

As a foot passenger
If you book as a foot passenger (£24.00), you can add a bicycle for an additional £20.00, and then select your cabin. If you’re travelling as a pair, the total comes to around £85. Not bad at all! Taking your bike is actually one of the most affordable ways to travel on the ferry.

On a vehicle
Alternatively, you can bring your bikes on your car, van, or camper. Please ensure you provide the correct vehicle and bike dimensions when booking, so everything fits on board.

Routes from the ferry port

Even from the ferry, you can easily get onto a cycle path in the port area by following the Sûreweg from the terminal.

The first stretch of cycling is not the most enjoyable. There is freight traffic, wind, and port industry. Fortunately, you can soon leave the harbour area by bridge or ferry and continue along a scenic cycle route. In fact, there are three signposted routes close to the ferry terminal in Europoort Rotterdam.

1. Cycling tour Voorne-Putten

For this route, you head south towards the village of Oostvoorne. From there, the scenery becomes much nicer, and we can definitely recommend the fortified town of Brielle as a stop along the way. From this route, you can continue along new paths that run below Rotterdam, or cycle further south.

2. LF Meuse Cycle Route

LF stands for long-distance cycling routes in the Netherlands. One section of the LF Maasroute (Meuse Route) leads you straight into the heart of Rotterdam. From there, you can choose to keep following the route or branch off onto another cycle path.

2. LF Coastal Cycle Route

The third route you’ll come across after arriving is another long-distance cycling trail that follows the Dutch coastline. The section that connects with the ferry takes you to the seaside town of Noordwijk.
