Travelling to NL as a foot passenger
Travelling without a vehicle on the Hull to Rotterdam ferry is straightforward and affordable.
Foot passenger tickets start at around £24 each way, with optional cabins available for the overnight crossing. Adding a bicycle costs about £20 extra. Cabins are compulsory, as there are no dedicated sleeping seats on board. Booking early often secures lower fares.
Foot passengers board via a separate walkway at both terminals. Check-in usually opens at 15:00 in Hull and closes 90 minutes before departure.
After arriving at Europoort Rotterdam, a shuttle bus will take you from the ferry terminal to the main terminal exit, where public transport and taxis are available. From there, Rotterdam Central Station can be reached in about 30 minutes, offering easy train connections throughout the Netherlands.
